Mission Statement
Pembroke School's role is to provide each student with a basic training for life, the school is educating children to be flexible thinkers and preparing them to take their place in a rapidly changing society.
Pembroke School is a three teacher school situated 5km east of Stratford township,
just under Mount Taranaki. Even though we are a small rural school we field many teams in a variety of competitions.
These competitions range from academic to sporting events
Earlier this term the students in Rimu Room entered a Roadsafe Taranaki writing competition.
The students had to write an story about the experiences of an older person they knew and how they used to get to school. O2 Project Bike Shop Stratford helped with a $500 voucher for a bike and accessories for Stratford District. All entries for this area were put in a draw and Tessa from Rimu Room was drawn out for Stratford District
The stories were judged by 2 district librarians and Dinah King form Roadsafe Taranaki.
Our students did really well. The following have won a book voucher from Whitcoulls
